Tentative plans for the day include:
10 am- Meeting with the Iowa Licensure Board. There is a plan to raise the RCP licensure to $125 as current fees for RCP ($75), PS ($330) and RCP + PS ($90) have left a deficit. One of the problems the IaSRC saw, when licensure for polysomnography passed, was the question how could it support itself? The burden of polysomnography licensure should not fall on the shoulders of the RCPs just because we are greater in number.
Currently there are 1826 RCPs, 165 Polysomnographers, and 78 RCP/PS licensed in Iowa.
We are determining how many from the board will need to be at the Iowa Licensure Board meeting.
@11:00 am (following the Iowa Board of Respiratory Care and Polysomnography meeting) meet with legislatures at the Capitol.
Following legislature meeting, IaSRC Board Meeting @12:00 – 3:30 Board meeting.
